starnge clicks on my V672 Telefunken mic preamp

I have strange low mid frequency clicks 3-4 in rapid seqeunce every 10
or 15 seconds.
I just put a SM-58 mic.
There is no phantom power.
Any help would be appreciatted.

Ummm - try taking the case off and see if any of the caps are bent over and
making inadvertant contacts where they shouldn't. I had that cause a similar
low level problem on one unit, also see if running it without the case makes
the problem go away, maybe something's grounding out to the case. You can
always add a little insulation where needed if that's the problem.
