You'd get more useful responses if you'd put "Gary Numan drum sound"
or something in your subejct line. Otherwise you could wait here for
a day or you could wait here for an hour, you could wait here for a
lifetime and still not get an answer.

Anyway, I like that drum sound too, but I don't know anything about
how they recorded it. Just based on what I hear, it's close mics and
a dry, tight room augmented with electronic drum sounds. Maybe
they're played/triggered by the drummer, maybe dubbed later, dunno.
