I should change my monitor headphones, but I do not know which is
te best for my work: to digitalize old tape recording. Now I use a Sony
DR-6M.
Price max 500$.
Thank.

Hey Sergio, save a fortune, get a pair of Fostex T40 or T50, see:

Two very classic, high-resolution choices:
Sony MDR 7506
Sennheiser HD-580
In the US you can buy two each for a little over $500.

In addition to Arnie's suggestions, I'd look at the 'budget-priced'
audio-technica m40fs. They work for me, I used them exclusively while I was
transferring 8-track to digital. I paid $75 US. You don't need to spend $500
to get good reference headphones.
The main characteristic of 'studio' headphones is the relatively flat
frequency repsonse. The transition from consumer monitoring to studio
monitoring can be disorienting - you may not like what you hear at first,
because the recording is more accurately represented than it is with
consumer gear. So a lot of ugliness that was covered up before may suddenly
appear, as well as a lot of beauty. That's the point.

(note the Sennheiser bias, just what I'm used to)
Sennheiser HD-600 (get a decent amp) open air, excellent phones.
HD-580 is very similar for less $$
Sennheiser HD-280 Pro (works on anything) excellent isolation but not as
refined as above.

http://www.musicians-gear.com/ has competetive pricing and isn't too far
from you.

How about a pair of AKG 240s? They where the studio must have for many years
and a steal at $100.00 US.

I have AKG 270 Studio ones, they are good. But I would agree that 240
could be better for the purpose. 270 are loud, have a smart
micro-switch that mutes the headphones as soon as they are off the
head so that they can't sing along and they close excellently. But
being of closed construction, one might want more refined low end
what the 240s reportedly have (they are I think semi-closed).

while these are all excellent suggestions for tracking headphones, in my
experience, they are all fairly colored sounding and will not give you
a mix that will translate well to other transducers. I would recommend
checking out the Grado line of cans, I use the SR125s and find them to
be excellent.
My 02c.
