One of Sony's top professional DAT decks (circa 1990-1995), the PCM-7010
boasts the professional heavy-duty 7000-series transport, much more reliable
than their consumer/semi-pro DAT units.
This particular unit has Digital AES/EBU input/outputs, balanced XLR analog
input/outputs, 1/4" TRS analog outputs for monitoring only, and SMPTE
timecode inputs and outputs. I have verified that all the inputs and outputs
work perfectly. The last project we did on the machine required pulldown
playback for 24 fps video, and the 7010 worked like a champ. Sound quality
was always fine, and the machine locked up perfectly (thanks to a video
reference input).
The original list price on this unit was about $4000; the opening bid is a
fraction of that cost, and there's no reserve. The auction ends on November
26th at 6PM PDT.
