Does anyone regularly work with scratching sounds from turntables? Any
treatments that seem to work well to get it to sit right in the mix?

It's been a long time, but when I was working in LA on many Ice Cube and
related projects (early 90's), I know I used to cut the low frequencies from
the DJ's mixer to get rid of the rumbling. I imagine it was generally 100 hz
rolloff, but depending on the sound often much higher rolloff point. That
helps a lot in clearing up the sound to place it in the mix and leave room
for the things that need a lot of low frequencies.

If you use Pro Tools check out
http://www.serato.com/products/scratchse/

You can Scratch AIFFs etc and keep it in the digital domain for
processing, it's controlled by real turntables with uber-low
latency...
