Guitarists tend to consider the guitar, any effects, the amp and
speaker as all parts of the instrument. Give a guitarist a clean
sound, he won't like it :-) If you can provide a line output
containing the sound you want, any soundman will I'm sure be glad to
accept it via a DI box.
