Hi there,

I just bought my Alesis Masterlink ML9600, silk-printed on back panel
it was made in Taiwan.
I wonder IF there any significant differences in sonic quality
compared
to the US version?
Btw I bought it for $1000, I heard the US version would cost $1650??

Thanks,

I bought the 20 Gig model for under $1000 a few months ago, I could
have gotten it cheaper (still new) on eBay from some generic sellers
but I needed quick delivery and used Dale Audio in NY.

I don't know about a US version (are you sure they're not all made in
Taiwan?) but when you buy a Masterlink IN the US you can expect to pay
about $900-1000. $1650 sounds about like the list price.
