Last I heard, there was a change in manufacturing plans and that's set
them back a ways.

I heard something about January 04, but that was a couple of months
ago. According to Stephen he's going to take as much time as it takes
to get it right.

That would be in time for the NAMM show, which of course is a good
target, though the NY AES show (which they didn't make) would have
been a better place to introduce a new premium microphone line
designed by someone whose name is known by those around the AES, but
less known by the music stores.

Seeing as how many of the MI manufacturers didn't exhibit at AES this
year, I'm wondering how many of the serious pro audio manufacturers
won't exhibit at NAMM. Could be that the sales channels that were
pretty much merged over the past 5-10 year period are starting to
diverge again.

I used to attend NAMM because I saw different things than I saw at
AES. For several years, I saw the same things at both shows, but this
past AES, I saw fewer keyboards, guitars, synths, and music-making
software. Maybe at NAMM I'll see fewer $2000 mic preamps and more $60
mics.
