Check out Hafler P3000 or P1500 depending on how much power you need.
Good Clean stuff...not too expensive.

Sorry, just noticed that you needed 600W. In that case, the P4000 would be
the one. It's 275 Watts/channel @ 4 Ohms and 200 Watts/channel @ 8 Ohms
(550 Watts bridged/mono @ 8 Ohms).

What are you driving? What is your budget? Why do you need so much power
for home studio monitors?

Depends on what you mean by mid range? If you have a rack room (so a fan is
not a problem) then for certain values of midrange the QSC RMX line are
pretty reasonable.

The Hafler 9505, or P4000 would be my choice.

Two or three musicians, guitare vocals, midi playback
eventually 2 subs and 2 tops

You might check out these Ashley amplifiers. I always found their
equipment top notch.

Or for even more power, check out this one out:

Is that 600 wrms @ 4 ohm per channel or for a stereo pair or what?

If you want a lot of cheap power, I have to say I like the older QSC MX
series amps. They aren't as clean as the Hafler gear by any stretch of
the imagination, but they are surprisingly clean for very little money.
Personally, I'll take clean over powerful for a studio amp, but I know
there are applications where that's not the right choice to make.

Uh, yeah. But... what kind of subs and what kind of tops?
And why do you want to go the passive crossover route, or do you really
want four channels?
