We use their P416 card and it's pretty darned reliable. Go with one of
their latest cards.

Kinda related. I picked up a used RME Multiface with a PCMCIA
interface, and got a PCI-PCMCIA adapter board for my PC.

The adapter uses a RICOH chipset that isn't very good, so I'm unable
to get the excellent low latency performance that the RME is capable
of.

Of course I found out just AFTER I bought it <g>.

This link to the RME website:

http://www.rme-audio.com/english/techinfo/hdsp_notetabe.htm

lists laptop performance, one of the factors being the cardbus adapter
chipset and may give you some useful info when picking your PCI->
PCMCIA adapter.

Good luck,
