How much, if any, of this performance is live?

If it is all live, it's the best live TV production I've seen. However, I'm quite skeptical.

Vocals might be real. Drums probably aren't. Fiddles aren't, unless they
have found some miraculous invisible gobo to control the fiddle leakage.
Cellos are evident on the audio but not in the shot.

I only had a chance to listen through earbuds, but I thought I detected
a percussion/click track that nobody onstage seemed to be playing. If
so, almost anything else we're hearing could be on the track. I thought
at first the drums were real, but they cut the camera away so often
that we never got a good look (which is itself probably evidence that
they were pre-recorded.) It looked like the keyboard player was playing
an old Fender Rhodes, but the sound I heard was that of an acoustic
piano, or digital recreation thereof. I didn't notice that the cellos
were missing onstage, but I'm not surprised.
I thought that kind of annoying quick-cut video direction had gone out
of style, but apparently not. It's good for obfuscation, I guess.
I vote for vocals live, everything else on tape.
I liked the song and arrangement.

If you want real then watch ' Later - With Jools Holland '.

Which isn't bad. 30 years ago the vocals would have been lipsynched because
it would have been impossible to do the vocal effects live. Today the fake
reverb just comes out of a box.

It is good, isn't it? The vocal was good too.

I might go for that if he was wearing IEMs, but no - he was listening
to music on the stage. I know that the Graham Norton show prides
itself on genuinely live music, and Elbow are technically well up to
it. The strings were certainly playing, but I think they were enhanced
by some synth.

vox is real, drums visually so precise that I think they too are real.
Bass looks out of sync. Guitar dunno. Strings sound like a good quality
canned product, violin sound alone without looking at the image is a bit
sharp and not what one would expect out of a can, I opt for "cello synth
enhanced" as someone else. Mostly real it appears. But I can't make
heads or tails of how they got it to work. Impressive.
Kind regards

Just watched another "Later - With Jools Holland' , and that's
definitely all live. And great musicianship. And nice mics. And
fantastic production. And a wide variety of adult-orientated music over
a range of genres. And interesting interviews with interesting people.
By any chance do you get the impression I enjoy the show immensely ?

Well described.

I'd rather it be phrased, how much was prerecorded. "Live"? Everything is recorded live, even in studios, if you follow my madness, but some use "live" recordings, such as at concerts.

Which makes sense. And the vocal was right on.

Looks like they edited out the Count-in.

Didn't the leakage from the string section into the vocal mic make
things a little weird ? Or was that maybe the string-synth element
suggested ?

Looks like they edited out the Count-in.
Gareth.
Crucially, if that is true then the whole video may have been edited.
Perhaps containing shots taken in rehearsals.
Gareth.

I don't have any more information than I reported.
