I heard the Bernie Grundman uses a modified SSL 384. I just bought an SSL 384
this week and would like to hear about the mods they did. Does anyone who
knows Bernie know what they did to the thing? Its a really cool compressor
with a great tightening effect to it, but I'd still love to know what could be
done with it.

Just about all the analog gear at Bernie Grundman's has been heavily modded or
custom built. From what I've witnessed there, they keep pretty mum about what's
been done & even what the signal chain affecting your project is. Sounds great,
though.
