Anyone know someone out there who can transfer Edison cylinders professionally?

Dave Dintenfass knows some guy. Also, the Library of Congress has a really
neat Edison transcription machine with a linear tracking arm and a Stanton 681.
I doubt they'd be willing to do transfers but they might already have done
transfers of the cylinder you're looking for.

Art Shifrin. He has a lot of custom-built cylinder playing stuff.

Actually, I'm not; a guy wrote me about transferring some cylinders he owns to
CD for safekeeping. I'm looking for someone to pass him on to. Thanks to all;
I'll pass along your suggestions to him.

Interesting! Especially that behemoth Marconi recorder. 1.5 meters/sec
can be heard indeed, the recording has a curious dynamics for the age.
I think the recording has been made early fifties, the "Painting the
Clouds with Sunshine" theme made me humming around for an hour :))
I have an old Schlumberger catalog with a perforated film sound
recorder described; now I've got curious about and tomorrow I'll dig
it out from my attic to see.
