Like many now-a-day forums, you have to GIVE before you GET! At Lite Records forum, where, I feel, illegal activity occurs, someone posted songs from Led Zeppelin's second album in multi-track form (where they shouldn't have been)! I had initially found them on YouTube. I grabbed them, so I could do my FBI style investigation on music. Unlike the FBI, I haven't the intelligence, since they stopped 9-11 from occurring.
Anyway, many have told me Jimmy Page doesn't need money, but you'd find him as far as Japan pushing/promoting his Led Zeppelin "remasters". Radio stations were told and maybe paid to promote them. A UK publication, "MOJO", seems fixated on Led Z.
Anyway, this is the very first 45RPM vinyl single I bought, while still in high-school. I didn't exactly buy it, but stole it, accidentally!! Long story!
Anyway, it was a thrill to mix the tracks and to examine them for evidence. Anyway, they top notch drummer overdubbed to this song. You can hear Robert Plant yell, "Timber!!", because he felt that's what Jimmy Page's guiatr work sounded like!! I never really noticed a tambourine in the song, but also hear maracas. If you look at Wikipedia, under "Maraca" you'll find Robert Plant, photoed, playing them! My ears haven't failed me yet.
Sadly, these multi-tracks were not included with the "remasters", even as "Bonus" tracks. Sad. But, what Jimmy Page published, a "Rough Mix" of this song, you can hear those alternate vocals of Robert Plant on these multi-tracks.
Ahmet Ertegün, head of Atlantic Records, was locked-out of these Zeppelin recording sessions. I thought Ahmet was a nice guy until I heard him scolding a black female during Bobby Darin's Queen Of The Hop recording session....

Still would like to know who she was. Odd to find Doc Severinsen [Tonight Show] participating in some of Bobby's songs!
Anyway, remixing, with no stereo thrills. The ending is a killer!...
Tracks mixed in Audacity, stereo mix-down master tweaked in Goldwave...
