I'm selling a Teac Tascam 35-2 1/4" stereo mixdown recorder. It is half-track
format, but has switchable 1/4-track playback heads. This is a great way to get
that fat tape sound on your masters, or to transfer legacy tapes to digital. It
has lots of features....7 or 10 inch reels; 7.5 or 15 ips; DBX encode/decode
(you can bypass it if you want); Cue; pitch control; front panel Record Bias &
Record EQ; Edit mode, switchable quarter-track playback, etc. It used to have
some woodgrain side panels, but I misplaced them. It's got home-made rack ears
now. The heads are in great shape, with minimal wear. The last time I checked
it with my MRL test tape, playback response was excellent. Recording response
is excellent as well. I thought I listed it for a 7 day auction, but for some
reason, the auction listed for only one day. It's ending today.....hurry up and
take a look!
