RME ADI 8 DS >/< Lightpipe >/< Mtric Halo MIO 2882 DSP?

Anybody have experience running the RME ADI 8 DS AD/DAC with a Metric
Halo Mobile IO via ADAT Lightpipe?

MIO has rep for ADAT interface squigglyness, working with some devices
and not others. If this worked it could be a nifty way to add 8 analog
inputs to an MIO rig, with TDIF and ADAT format transfer as a bonus.
