Did anyone make it to the _Temples of Sound_ panel with Rudy Van Gelder?
I would be very interested to hear if he had anything to say.
Also, have there been any reports of thefts at the show? This is the first
show in many years that I have not heard of anything disappearing at.

I went on Sunday. Spent only about an hour on the exhibition floor. SPent
most of the time at Sound Devices, Nagra, and Pro Tools. The Nagra Ares
recorder looks way cool!
The new Sound Devices recorder looks very promising. Per the sales group,
it will be issued in 4 track before in two track.
Also, the Core SOund IPAQ PDA recorder looks too weird to be true.
Otherwise, for my first show, I was on overload.

Did you see the Narga recording medium? Those little drives were cool and
you can convert to firewire with a little dongle. iZ said they are
probably going ot make them an option in place of their floppy drive,
allowing you to record straigt to a meduim that cna be removed and hooked
up with a firewire port. (that's the long, but more accurate way of saying
that soon you'll be able to use Radar to record straight to a firewire
drive).
