Doesn't appear to be able to share files with the host in any
manner I understand. Too bad.

I've always found that these new-fangled OS's from Beos onwards had some
fatal flaw.

I'm still playing with Harrison Mixbus across various Windows and Linux
versions (although Mr Seagate has been holding me up while I wait for
replacements for failing drives).
So far, I seem to have established that Jack is OK on Windows 7, but is
a real pain on the Windows 8 screens (why doesn't the blocky one go back
to where you came from when you return from being dumped into the
desktop?).
Linux works OK, but Alsa desperately needs a good sort out of the gui in
the mixer areas. Sorting out what fader does what on different chipsets
is bizarre, and it doesn't help that I'm using laptops which can have
docking stations and so many ins and outs. None of my usb audio
interfaces seem to work out of the box with Linux, either.
