I recorded my daughter's strings group plus other groups at the service on
Sunday. This is a sample of the Zoom H6 with built-in XY capsule.

Forgot to mention, this track was recorded in 24/96 with the gain set way
low because I couldn't monitor it during the first take. It was down at
least 20 dB, but I was able to rescue it with gain and there seems to be no
noise penalty. What do you think? Did the 24 bit save it?

That would certainly save a session if something bad happened to a
main recording. Nothing that a bit of judicious eq won't sort out.

church environment, had to stay unobtrusive.
