Peavey MediaMatrix knowledge needed

I recently became in possession of a somewhat old 64 in/64 out MM system
with 740 mainframe and eight 8840 BoB's. Does anyone happen to know is the
mainboard
upgradeable/changeable or does it have some Peavey-made modifications on it?
The mainframe runs Win 3.11 and has a 133 Mhz 5x86 processor installed. I
asked Peavey about the upgrade and they (obviously) told me to buy the new
760nt model...
Since it seems to be installed in a similar server case and the old DSP
boards work on the new model as well I see no point in buying a new
mainframe, just the mainboard with processor and memory.

Help me on this one if you can!
