Hi,
Sorry this is not my newsgroup/hobby. I'm doing a favor for my(our)
secretary who wants to record vocals over Karaoke and mix it onto a CD
for giving out this Christmas. I'm going to configure her 400MHz
computer system for the job, get software etc. She knows nothing
about audio recording and I know something about it, but am not an
expert (and I'm not really interested in spending much time developing
a technique for her to use) so I would like expert opinion before
starting.
First, is there an easy package for her to use? Plug in mic, insert
CD, sing into mic, done. My notions of what to do is; get software
that will record anything, including Karaoke, then use this recording
and a program like Goldenwave to mix her vocals over recording, then
burn to disk. This is not straight forward and I can anticipate her
frustration.
