View Full Version : MP3 encoding weirdness

Hi,
Whenever I create an MP3 from a WAV, the resulting MP3 has a little silent
space at the beginning and the end, so it's not the same length as the
original WAV. Is there anyway around this? I've used a couple different MP3
encoders and got the same results (although the amount of space each encoder
added was slightly different).

I think it has to do with the way the rippers interpret the data. I use
Exact Audio Copy and it has all kinds of parameter to adjust this as well as
an "delete leading and trailing silenct" settings. Look here:
