Hello,
Can anyone point me in the direction of a good UK supplier of 19" rack
mounting ATX PC cases suitable for a studio PC based around a recent
P4 motherboard (5 PCI slots and 1 agp), requiring at least two
external 5.5" bays, a 3.5" external and two 3.5" internal.

I've found that most rack PC cases sold are intended for server use so
have few/no external drive bays, and usually limited space inside
(insufficient room to fit longer PCI cards, including many decent
studio sound cards). Many also do not have rear cut-outs in the
correct places for PS2, USB and LAN connectors on the rear of these
boards.

What sorts of cases do you guys use for studio PCs? I'm assuming a
rackmount case is the way to go from a tidyness point of view? Anyone
know of any good, inexpensive UK suppliers?

Thanks for any suggestions,
Ben.

These guys are a US supplier, but do international orders, so they may
be able to help you. They are a wholesaler to PC builders primarily,
but will sell to individuals as well. Here is the link to their rack
mount selection:

Good luck!

These guys do configurable audio PCs, including rack mounted:

http://www.philrees.co.uk
http://www.millennium-music.biz/ (under desktops)
http://www.carillondirect.com

You might be able to get just cases from them.
