Music Industry in UK

Hi,

I'd like to know if a Music Industry Guide dedicated to the british market
is currently published in UK. In fact, I'm seeking a short list to get all
the contacts necesary to join producers, editors, etc.

Does anybody can give me more informations about this kind of tools
(references, opinions...)

How about the Music Week directory, The Showcase Directory or The White
Book?

How about the Music Week directory, The Showcase Directory or The White
Book?

What I need is an inventory of music labels in UK and the name of people
working in. I really mean a short list, like an annuary, not a "how to do
business in music".

Do those books or guide give this kind of informations ?

Then the Music Week directory is probably best. Try looking at
http://www.musicweek.com/title.asp for more information. At one time
they did do a basic record label guide which was included free with an
issue of Music Week but nowadays I think you have to buy the same
directory. You might be better off thinking about what sort of label you
want to contact - there are thousands of labels in the UK but most
specialise in a small segment of the market.
