Hi There,
I need to get my Krell KPS 25SC fully serviced as the capicitors are worn out and the cd has gone blind and will not play discs anymore. Is there anyone in the UK that can be trusted to do this at a reasonable price??
Many thanks
Nikki

There's no one anywhere in the First (or second) World who will work on a
piece of electronic gear at a reasonable price. If the CD has "gone blind" it
means that you need a new CD transport as the laser diode has most likely
died (this is a common failure).
I've always felt that CD deck makers should use standard ATAPI computer CD
drives in their decks to make replacement of these units cheap and easy.
Alas, only a couple of makers have ever gone this route.

We are the most qualified European Service Center for your KPS-25 and all other things Krell. We do KPS 25's from all over the world, we've had dozens and know them inside out. We have Lasers in stock, capacitors, transformers, and can deal with any trouble you have with this unit. We have definitive solutions for several standard issues the KPS25s and its Cast version KPS25sc have like early shut down, reading problems, power supply issues, and we also perform Clock upgrades to which this machine responds very well. We have direct contact with the Krell Factory as well as with fomer Krell specialists, and they supply us with parts and advice.
Reasonable prices.
For the North Americas I advice you to contact Steven Leckrone at The Service Department, he's the former Krell service manager and no-one is more knowledgeable to all things Krell like him.
