If anyone has a good reel-to-reel machine at a very good price for sale, please
contact me privately. My Tascam 32 needs a lot of work from deterioration, and I
have a lot of tapes to dub. While I have a ATR-102 set up to do a few critical
transfers, there are many other reels that I need to transfer to digital while I
still can. It only needs great playback capability. I'm not interested in doing
any recording with it.
Because of shipping costs, I've been watching my local craigslist. The only
thing I ever see there is junk.

I recently inherited a Pioneer RT-909. Since I knew it had not been used for more than a few years I took it to a service company for cleaning and tuning, etc. All of the controls were cleaned, the bias set and the main drive belt replaced, for a total of 150.00. Its currently under their 30 day warranty and seems to work brilliantly. Also, the tech wrote on the invoice that the heads only show 20% wear! As I am not an audiophile and already have a Sony deck I am happy with, the Pioneer is gong up for sale. If you are interested please get in touch asap and we can discuss the price. I'm told this is the top of the line; I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks in advance.
