If the anode supply is under 500Vdc, usually any 6550 or KT88 are OK
to plug in without any modification. I have found that the Ra, gm and
µ of the The EH KT88 and EH 6550 are exactly the same and the
internals look the same. I am not sure if "winged C" genuine Svetlana
6550 are better sounding than other 6550 or KT88.
Ppl argue about the sound and they all cannot be right.
