I've had a TASCAM US-800 for a while now, and I want to use it to
record my band. So far, it's very nice - except that occasionally it
crashes my entire system. I know that the manual says not to "plug it
in" while Cubase is running - really, load the driver after Cubase is
loaded. Of course, this makes it REALLY hard to plug it in EVER - if
Cubase doesn't start up with the driver in place (not sure how this
happens), I crash my system when I try to load the driver.
Does anyone have any experience with this audio interface? If you do,
what would be the exact procedure to plug it in, load Cubase, and use
it?
