How to remove U87ai top from body?

ok,
I have pulled the bottom cap off and pulled the body cover off.

but how to I get the head removed....there are two clip like things on
the side; but I can figure out what you do next. I tried pushing in on
these clips but doesn't seem to work.

can someone explain???

Press those 2 clips and the whole top part of the mic lifts right off.
It is easy.

I discovered this by accident about 30 years ago when a gobo knocked
over a U87 on a stand, and the top had started to pop off. I was bummin'
til I removed the bottom and the mic casing, then slide the top of the
mic all the way off, then slid it back on. Put it back together and the
damn thing worked fine. It didn't even have any marks. Wow!

I still own and use that mic.
