Mitsui vs. ?

Hi folks:

It seems to be the general wisdom of the pro-audio community that Mitsui gold
CD-R blanks are the cat's meow -- the best thing currently available. But
they're pricey. What about the next tier down; what's been your personal
experience with:

Mitsui silver
Taiyo Yuden
Something else

? And for that matter, anyone got personal experience comparing these
next-tier-down ones with the Mitsui gold? How much real difference have you
found?
