View Full Version : Protools: compensating for tracks delay after applying RTAS plugins

Each protools track has a delay counter (if you alt+click volume
square in the mix view) but nowhere in the reference manual was I able
to find if we are supposed to manually adjust for this delay. So right
now I have several tracks with different delays ranging from 0 to 340
samples (more delay is due to more RTAS plugins). Am I supposed to do
anything with this info prior to doing my final bounce?

Thanks!

You can either compensate for the delay by using a delay insert in every
track (very easy), to make sure all the tracks are delayed equally, or by
manually shifting the undelayed tracks by hand (more difficult, unless
there's very few tracks involved).
