We are now dealing with Mipro wireless mics. Has anybody here used them?
What do you think of them?

Thanks for the feedback. If I summarize your response would this be
accurate, good for someone on a budget and is not rough with them, but if
you have the money go with something else?

That's about it. If they fit your application, they're a good choice.
An even shorter summary:
MiPro=SeMiPro

Yes I've used them. I prefer them to AKG 3700's I use in the same location.
I didn't say I didn't like them; I didn't use the phrase 'semi-pro' in a
pejorative sense. In fact I think they *are* worth it. They're not in the
same league as, say, a Shure beta58 wireless, to pick something vaguely
similar- but they don't cost nearly as much. They're worth it for the price,
if they suit your application. As I stated previously, they don't seem as
durable as some other mics considered 'pro'- like say the Shure. You
wouldn't give them to a punk band & expect them to last, but they might give
good service for years in a wedding reception hall. I haven't had one fail,
but a friend has (he bought Sennheisers after 2 MiPros broke down due to
being dropped- they've been repaired & are still being used elsewhere).
The receiver has balanced outputs- does that mean it's pro or semi pro?
Semi-pro doesn't have to mean semi-useable. Tascam 38's were semi-pro, but
that didn't mean they were no good (especially if you wanted a bit of bottom
end boost!); they got lots of use in small studios- in fact some guy has
just released an album recorded on one.
Isn't it subjective to a certain extent? If you own a Telefunken, are
Gefells only semi-pro?Are RodeNTs semi-pro? A touring band here in Oz is
using Rode product exclusively for their stage setup- every mic is a Rode.
Pro enough for ya?
Apologies to MiPro if i offended by my 'SeMiPro' crack.
Like I said- If MiPros fit your application, they're a good choice.
