I would agree with the way you stated it.

Again, I agree. if I had an important rock or pop project coming up, I would
not be stressed because I was using the stock coverters. There would be way
more that could screw up the sound of the project than the converters.

I have a RADAR 2 with 'Classic' convertors. All I know is it sounds an order of
magnitude better than the Tascam DA38 and DA78 I had been previously using.
Much smoother and classier sounding. I also had a Tascam 2424 for for a brief
period a couple of years ago. I don't remember finding them significantly
better when compared to the DA78.
