Hey all,
I'm looking at trying out some proper DIY recording for my band.
Up until now we've been messing around with a TASCAM US-428 which
allows up to four simultaneous channels into Cubase at once. However
to make the drum sound better and more manageable in the mix I
reckon I need to go to at least 8 mics
1 Bass
2 Snare
3-5 Toms
6 Hi hat
7-8 Overhang
So what do people suggest is the best way to proceed. Can you
put two Audiophile 2496s into a single PC or is that just a
waste of money? Or should I just bite the bullet and get something
like the TASCAM DM-24?
I'd rather not spend some money now and find that in 6 months I
need to buy yet more gear so any suggestions are welcome.
