Is there any software like Metasynth that works on the PC? I don't
care about the graphical aspects, but I would like the audio
convolution that MS can do.

thanks

I'm not familiar with Metasynth but is it anything like this: Kyma -

It runs on Mac and PC.

i haven't really seen anything else that does the weird , cool GUI
synthesis of metasynth .

if you just want convolution though, maybe start at sonic foundry's
acoustic mirror . or if you're feeling up for it , you can do it for
free in csound .
