Howdy! As in the Cal State University system? I haven't heard that,
but it wouldn't surprise me at all. The CA three-headed system is in a
terrible state (no pun). And we're hearing rumors that the state's
financial mess is just going to get worse in the long term, rather than
starting to improve in a couple of years, which is what we first heard.
Very discouraging. I'm very happy that we got our new (VERY cool)
theater due to its start before the crash, but we're looking at even
worse times to come I'm afraid. The wind job is open at my local Cal
State school and in ordinary times I might have considered applying for
it (though in the end I doubt that I would). But now...no chance in
hell. For one thing, I couldn't stand the pay cut, not to mention the
job insecurity.
