this is about live stage monitors,
I can't speak on the stage accompany
but I use(and sell) the SLS speakers(www.slsloudspeakers.com)

they share a similar design with basically same size boxes and ribbon
drivers
the ribbons are very smooth almost no eq is needed
the down side is we have been listening to distorted horns for so long when
a smooth undistorted sound comes along it sounds kinda flat at first
definitly more accurate and much higher fidelity but not for ever
application
