View Full Version : Export OMF from Pro Tools to Sonar... HELP!!!

Help! I have rhythm tracks for a project in the can, but I can't get them
exported successfully from Pro Tools. Has anyone done this successfully
here? If so, would you be so kind as to answer these questions?

Is there a specific version of Digitranslator that is required?

What settings need to be made in the Digitranslator to ensure reliable
success?

Does audio need to be consolidated into one file in order for Sonar to
import it?

Are OMF1 and OMF2 files both compatible for import into Sonar?

Any other information that might help?

Anyone who can help me out will get a free copy of our band's CD when we get
it completed.

THANKS!

You should ask here on the Digidesign User Conference:

http://duc.digidesign.com/

and I'd probably check in the ProTools TDM section.

Some good info here, but it doesn't quite cover it. More specifically, I'm
looking for answers to specific questions (in original post) on how to do
the export from Pro Tools.

Thanks Rail. Do you happen to know what the file size limitation is?

2 Gigabytes is the largest file size allowable.
