Masterlink System Warning

I installed OS v2.16 last week (2.16 added support for the Sony CRX-225e).
Used it on a project, so it seems fine. This week, I put a CRX-225e in,
and now when I boot, After the "Loading ML-9600" screen, I get "System
Warning CDR Error 201".

Does anyone have a nothing as to what that means? I burned a quick redbook
CD with no problems. Email to Masterlink tech support has been unanswered
(do they still have anyone there to even answer email?)

Do a google search. I recall somebody mentioning something similar a
while back. I haven't had any errors with my Masterlink.

I e-mailed Alesis support a couple weeks back after getting a "HD error 177"
message when I powered up my Masterlink. (It's dead at the moment.) Alesis
support did respond after a few days. Good luck.

Thanks - I had done that, but nothing turned up. Did it again, now I find
my own post. I upgraded the hard drive several months ago with no problems
- quite painless really, other than the dissasembly job. Almost as bad as
the 16 screws to get to the internal hard drive on an MX2424 :).

Call Alesis and ask if you have to update the ROM on the main circuit
board. That's what I had to do last yaer when I upgraded the CD burner.
