What are the outputs on a GML 8300.......just XLR?

There are a couple of things you can try... the easiest of which is to build a
"Y" cable that takes the output from your 8302 and sends it to both the A/D
converter and the monitor desk.

Another method of doing something like this would be to use a Jensen Mic Split
transformer before the 8302... splitting the mic level signal to both sides of
the pre... sending the output of one side to the A/D and the output of the other
side to the monitor desk... but that may be cost prohibitive [if not... it's
probably the best sounding method of achieving the dual signal path]...

One other thing I've found when running separate chains to a monitor desk as well
as an A/D converter... if I open up the buffer on the DAW and bring a bit of it
back into the mix it'll actually work like a 'slap echo' in the monitor chain...
which can be fun to sing to rather than just the dry vocal... with the added
bonus of "being there" when you do your monitor playback... and will also give
you a reasonable guide for doing vocal punches.

Best of luck.

Don't know why I didn't think of that. Guess I was paranoid of losing
"something" after the slpit but I went to Sam Ash & found a cable - seems to
work like a charm.
