Hello

Searching google archives I find several references to the above-mentioned
poster planning to release a string-set soundfont.

Here's the thread:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&threadm=20021225

ndfonts%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26hl%3Den

Anyone know if it ever got released?
Thanks
Mark

Nowhere to host them. I emailed the violins to Erwin but never got a
reply.

I can host them. I have 2 or 3 sites with monthly bandwidth allowances of
1GB. I'm not using them at the moment so I can dedicate the whole bandwidth
to the soundfont files.

If that sounds good email mark [at] bedroomtalent [dot] com and I'll see
what I can do.

I believe Sampletank is proprietary (only plays it's own sounds). Battery
will play them.

Livesynth sounded nothing like my SBLive either. The only thing I've tried
which does some pretty much exactly like it is Vsampler. I just got an email
today about this freeware soundfont player people might want to check out:

Thanks for the heads-up Ricky. I'll see how compatible it is.
