Hi -
This is a query about the DCA DDP 2.0 specification for CDs and DVDs.
This spec caters for Input Media being scrambled. Specifically there
is a flag in the DDPMS file (SCR) which is set to 1 when the media is
scrambled.
My question is: what does Scrambled mean?
Does the software that creates the DDP have its own proprietry
Scramble algorithm, or is there a standard way of scrambling media?
The DDP specification is not clear. It mentions this Flag is used to
determine what processing is required by mastering equipement, but
does not go into detail.
If anyone can help, it would be great.
Thanks,
Will
