Hello everyone,
As you have seen I have discontinued Boom Recorder, because of the
sound report bug on OS X Snow Leopard.
Instead of trying to solve this issue, I am starting development on
Boom Recorder 9.0. I will try and incorporate most of the suggestions
and lessons over the years in the new version.
Boom Recorder will be written to be useful for both film/tv-set
recording and for concert registration.
On of the most important enhancements for the new version I want to
get in:
- Better playback, including: scrubbing, time code chasing and
timecode output.
- Correct pull up/down sample rate recording.
- Sync playback and recording, so one can recording new tracks next to
the playback tracks.
- Periodic rewriting of the file header to sustain a correct file
header during the recording.
- Correctly handle (and edit in some cases) foreign audio files.
Cheers,
Take
