Do you really want a mixer? How about a switch selector and a gain control?
You'll only be able to listen to one source at a time, but you won't have
all the summing junk that is inside a mixer.

The SM82 is not very transparent. It's a bit noisy and seems to muffle the
sound some. Not terrible but not exactly transparent.
