View Full Version : Why TONEAudio isn't a very good magazine

A recent issue features an interview with Jim Marshall, the rock
photographer. They talk a little bit about equipment, not too much,
but they are talking Leica and Marshall states that he uses modified
Leica MP's.
Well, MOST, and I mean most Leicas are bought for prestiege by people
who seek the appearance of statutory peckerage. In fact Leica makes a
lot of "special edition" cameras that never leave the box they came
in. People worship the crack of Leica's ass. Now, this guy is
MODIFYING the Leica cameras??!! Any normal person would have asked,
how? Of course he might have thought that a big secret but my guess
is that he would have been happy to share that information.
Now, I have a great respect for the Leica as a tool, even though the
owners do not so much of the time. I have long advocated Leica make
certain mods available, at the same time I can see why they would say
"**** it" since so many are sold as substitute peckers.
But the interviewer didn't even ask.
That's to be expected from such a publication, I guess. If you want
useful information on a camera, get the old Ed Romney books.

If this is an attempt to troll me, I'm really uninterested in cameras
and photography. Why don't you send an email to the writer and ask
yourself?

Your personal interest is irrelevant: the relevant thing here is the
nonfeasance of the publishers of this virtual liner of gold plated
bird cages.

Bull****. If I didn't post here, you never would have started this
thread. You didn't answer the question...the publisher/writer of the
article in question posts his email address in every issue. If you
really wanted your voice heard, you would have sent him an email
instead of trolling me here.
BTW, the simple fact that the words "modded Leica" set you off is
further proof of your ASD. Normal people don't think like that.
