FWIW (not much, admittedly), in another group Arny is still trying to
say that
http://tinyurl.com/ctefff
and
http://tinyurl.com/cc8aga
are recordings of trumpets and horns. lol

The man simply has a profound personality disorder that will not allow him
to damit he is in error, even to himself.

I still wonder if the same sound clip announces The Soup's "Clip of the
Week."

Why do you Arnyitis infectees insist on stalking him around usenet and
then rehashing the crap back here?
ScottW
Simply for the amazement conveyed to the others. This aspect of Arny's PBX
was thoroughly discredited here no more than 1-2 years ago (perhaps sooner)
and yet he is still telling his lies elsewhere. We all have fun at his
expense, but I think most of us are still a bit awe'd by how screwed up he
really is and how much chutzpah he shows in pursuing his mythology.

I didn't "stalk" him. I was reading a group and the topic of those
files came up, and he still can't admit the truth about them. So odd.

I realize that you don't think he's suffering a mental illness.
Some others do. Those that do, have no business having fun at a
mentally
ill person's expense IMO.
They look dumber than Obama bowling.
**********************************************
This is a mental illness (giving him the benefit of the doubt) that can be
ameliorated by professional help, which Arny refuses to get. Moreover, the
affliction plays out at the expense of a lot of other people here, via
accusations, lies, slander, and other means of belittling. Therefore he is
not a very sympathetic character, so I guess that brings out the worst of
us...me at least. Or, perhaps he is just a clown....but a meanspirited and
deceitful one if that be the case.

They believe nothing of the sort, of course.
It's like liberals confronted with black misbehavior. They themselves
really do not believe blacks are fully moral agents, so they make
excuses always involving the failures of non-blacks.
Respectable conservatives believe (or at least do a much better job
of pretending to do so) that blacks are fully moral agents and decry
black misdeeds, in ways they fervently hope the liberals won't
denounce them as wascally wascists for. Like Lucy with the football,
the libs do anyway every time, and like Charlie Brown, the respectable
conservatives never learn.
It is very much like Sylvester and Tweety Pie, Foghorn Leghorn and
Henery hawk, Roslyn and Gay....it never ends.

Not true, i believe he has several mental illnesses.
OTOH, he is also a general asshole, and deserves derision on thaqt
basis.
Also, losts of mentally ill have committed capital murder and done
other
greivous crimes and have been executed.
Arny's mental illnesses are no excuse for
his bad behavior.
Scott, are you going soft on us?
Do you want all those mentally ill murderers sitting on
death row to have their executions commuted
just because we should have pity on the mentally ill, and excuse them
from responsibility for their bad behavior?

No, you're not. You're using a third party to try to hurt someone you
disagree with. AK was here and despite his problems has shown that he
can control himself to some extent. To liken that to a family member's
medical condition ignores important differences in ability to control
one's behavior.
And how is ill-will to Arny unjustifiable? Did you read his posts?

Medical conditions are not due to bad choices, faith or firmness.

Compare his HA output to his RAO output. His ability, however
inconsistent, to act differently shows he makes the choice to be GOIA.
Since your defense of him is based on his supposed lack of choice over
his behavior, your defense is mistaken.

I think his personality disorders fall short of pathology. He still has
choice in his actions and has shown the ability to use it.
I personally do not engage him any more, but I don't see any point in
pretending he doesn't exist, like Rochester's first wife in the attic.

The ensuing condition is a condition. Lapses in medication are a

Witless forgives all of Turdborg's excesses because of their shared
hatreds. Primarily, they hate The Magazine and its Lord High Editor and
hope to send them all to Hell. Secondarily, they hate Mistress Jenn and
all other females who dare to speak in their presence. Thirdly, they hate
the entire notion that many consumer products are not marketed to the
likes of them, and furthermore, the likes of them are not rewarded for
"debunking" said products.
In short, the Krooborg is Scottie Witlessmongrel's comfy old shoes. I know
this is true because Witless kept silent when I asked him directly to
explain his adoration of Mr. ****.

If he really wanted to poke at Stereophile, he would have to read it to
comment on its content. Something like, hey, Linn wants to sell an
active crossover that requires a separate super-tweeter amp for its
Majik speaker. As if! ::snork::

I thought you'd go with emending it to "inability". But I wouldn't be
surprised if Witless can't use "correctly" correctly either.

Really, 2pid?
GOIA has shown he is incapable of discussing things with anybody. He
alienates those who hold the same views of audio as he does. He cannot
agree with or discuss anything with anybody.
I pick on (primarily) you and Bratzi and for many of the same reasons.
I am "impolite" to you and Bratzi and sometimes Sugar. But did you
notice, 2pid? Sugar posted where he gets his news from (a question I
asked you, but you were too "impolite" to answer). Even though I
disagree with what Sugar considers a valid source for news, I looked
them over. Did you see my "impolie" response to him? Go look it up.

I at first thought perhaps Clyde meant “hypocrite". But 2pid
frequently accuses others of being one and further 2pid denies being
one himself. Since 2pid places such a premium on his Integrity ™ and
Honesty ™ I immediately realized that Clyde had to mean some other
word.

You don't recognize that I used your own construction to reply to your
original personal attack. Your "message" can't be refuted because it's a
weak-ass assertion with no substance to refute. Simple negation is all
that is needed.

No, I offered a paragraph as an example of something you might say.
Besides, isn't a separate super-tweeter amp kinda dodgy and expensive

So you would not feel ill-will towards an illegal immigrant who was
cleared of wrongdoing by a jury who shot 15 kids in a school.
That's good to know.

But this is about you, 2pid. You're telling people who have a
'differing POV' how wrong they are.
What is interesting here is that if an illegal immigrant who, say, ran
over your wife or broke into your house and robbed and shot you, was
found innocent by reason of some mental disorder you would say, "Go,
and sin no more!"
Somehow I don't buy that one, 2pid. Somehow I think your legendary
double standards are at work...again. LoL.

LoL. 2pid gets his ass kicked (several times actually) by Stephen and
resorts to insult.
Um, doesn't 2pid say he's against that sort of thing? LoL.

Oh, no wonder you post so much crap. You simply count who *starts* the
most threads to see who's a 'good' contributor here.
I hate to break this to you, 2pid, but Bratzi is kicking your ass on

Not so fast. The Editorial Review Board has yet to confirm that Witless

Ok. Let it be about aural perception then , that's right at the
heart of all things audio
Is the second part of this clip a genuine horn section, as Arny

OK. Scott. Put you embarrassment aside for a moment, listen
to the clip, and tell me if you think Arny's horns (the second
part of the example) are genuine.

What worries me about this, Harry, is that he might get some other
poor gullible soul to believe it as well. This BS has to be stopped
Here is a link to a genuine French horn section (with strings
and woodwind accompaniment) played by genuine French
horn players in the acoustic space in which it was recorded.
This is followed by Arny's "horn section" clearly a MIDI
sample played from a keyboard.
Is thee anyone who disagrees with my analysis, and thinks
that the second section, "Arny's horns" is the genuine article.

My brother was a professional oboe player.
He jokingly described it as:

Let it go, 2pid.
Let's look at this: you're obsessed with what you perceive to be
obsession in others. Why would you 'think' that your obsession is
somehow superior?
And what mental dificiency requires you to always bring in unrelated
junk? That makes your 'mind' look scattered. LoL.

Scott. It was I who brought the subject up.
I am interested to know if you, or anyone else who claims
expertise in audo thinks that the second part of the
following clip is a genuine horn section as Arny claims it
to be.
Your opinion will be greatly appreciated.

Firstly, don't assume that everyone else is at your level:-)
From e-mail correspondence I have had with several
posters here, it is clear that their expertise in both audio
and music is considerable.

Scott,
The question has been pondered (usually only very briefly because
the answer is inordinately clear) by a great number of people both
here and elsewhere, many of whom are recording and music
professionals. There is no doubt in anyones's mind that
Arny is trying to make idiots of you/us all. I am amazed that people
like yourself either cannot see it, or for reasons known only to
yourself, do not want to see:-(
>I think Arny must have encrypted a

He has no horns in which to encrypt anything:-))
But seriously, What sticks in my throat is the hypocracy, and his
claim to be a "professional recordist" and a teaacher, when he
clearly knows less about music and recording than almost anyone
here. As someone who has been working in classical recording
all his life, and has spent may years studying recorded arts and
music, I greatly resent what one young student from Berklee
called "Arny's prostitution of our profession"

1. You offend 2pid's poor sensibilities when you mention his Mentor,
Idol and (perhaps) Lover in a negative way.
2. 2pid has never responded rationally to anything, ever. Nor has he
ever admitted that he was wrong, ever. (See the dumb post he made on

Hello John.
Many thanks indeed for providing the link. This recording
is very similar indeed to two which were sent by a well-wisher
some two years or so ago.
My own appraisal of Domine is as follows;
Poor old Arny doesn't seem to have a
clue about mic placement and/or stereo imaging:-(
Any would-be student who presented such a poor
effort as part of his portfolio would have no chance
at all in gaining a place even at entry level - and
Arny clams to be a professional:-((
But, if there is anyone out there that enjoys mid-fi,
close-to-mono, badly distorted recordings of a choir,
the intonation of which would make any astute
listener cringe, then this is for them:-)

them. They were looking for a certain sound and they've got it. Like it or
not, they were a reasonably accurate representation of the live performance.

What can you say???

I would say "Blessed are those who can't tell the difference. Amen."

There is also the audible hiss and LF noise to be
considered.
Note that Arny Krueger subsequently posted what
he considered to be an improved version to HA.

This has an identical spectrum to the first file, but sounds
phasey. Vectorscope analysis confirms a significant
out-of-phase component: I suspect that Mr. Krueger
matrixed to M+S, amplified the S channel, then
rematrixed to L+R. What would he do this? Perhaps
to muddy the waters by claiming that _this_ was the
original recording and it isn't mono after all.

Words fail me, Iain. I can't believe Mr. Krueger charged
a fee for such a technically poor result. Perhaps as the
choir was actually getting the recordings free, they didn't
want to offend the recordist.

So he couldn't get the simplest crossed-pair
recording right the first time?

I don't think anyone would pay money for such a
shabby job. It's probably just a "church volunteer
records amateur choir" job. No more, no less.

I think that's probably the truth.
