I once performed onstage with a friend's blues band. Before the gig we
were talking about how many blues artists had nicknames: "Mississippi"
John Hurt, Walter "Furry" Lewis, "Son" Seals, etc. We came up with our
own "blues" names.

I went under the stage name of "Angry" Red Boyle. As they brought me
up I could hear a woman in back going "Ewwwww!" We still laugh about
that and I still occasionally use that name. :-)
