Digital formats have it all over analog in terms of convenience. Plus you
don't have to spend a fortune to get good quality playback. And yet...
"In a digital age, vinyl albums are making a comeback"
Thus reports the LA Times. LP sales almost doubled from 2007 to 2008.
"Neil Schield ... opened a brick-and-mortar record store in Echo Park,
with racks of tasteful inventory carrying price tags as high as $100 --
all presumed liabilities in an age when "digital" and "free" seem to rule
the day. For added chutzpah, Schield's shop, Origami Vinyl, exclusively
stocks new vinyl LPs, presumed not long ago to be as dead as eight-track
tapes."

Naturally, we should mistrust any so-called "facts" reported by an "MSM"
behemoth like the Times. Maybe Witlessmongrel will ferret out the truth
from one of his beloved blogs.
