What's your favorite Beatles record? If I could only have one, it would
have to be Abbey Road, their last.
By the way, thanks for the tip on Stubbs! GREAT ribs! ;-)

Very cool - it's about time. I'd prefer the mono as well.
Unsurprisingly, they're going ape**** over at the SH music forum.

Revolver! My brother received it as a birthday present about 1970 or so.
The unusual sounds and variety of styles undoubtedly warped my
expectations for pop music.

The late founder is a Texas legend with ties to those great Lubbock
musicians: Joe Ely, Jesse Taylor, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, etc. His
appearance on Letterman is a crack-up, but I can't find video. NPR has
it on audio, but you won't get to see Letterman put a log on instead of
in the smoker.

Thirty-seven pages of comments last I looked! Let's hope the mastering's
acceptable or the outcry there will never cease!

Heh, you know, no matter how good it is there will be a ton of outrage
over something. I don't know how much you read that forum, but people
went ballistic over the duration of the seques in the recent remastering
of "Heartbreak City" fer cryin out loud.
Of course if the mastering is poor, look out!

Tough one to answer for me. I'd probably go with "Magical Mystery Tour",
mostly because it's the first LP I ever bought and it holds some special
memories. But Abbey Road is a good choice, I could live with Sgt.
Pepper, and Revolver is a worthy contender.

Revolver would be right up there with me as well; probably #2.

And it was the US version. The 'extra' UK-original songs were a surprise
to me.
BTW, I heard the Eleanor Rigby version remixed for the Yellow Submarine
soundtrack on the radio today. Sir Paul is right: stick to the originals!

Abbey Road is the worst album the Beatles made.

Welcome back! What do you think is the second worst album the Beatles
made?

How dare people actually enjoy the Beatles when they should be reading
up on Sailer and Oliver.

It all pales in comparison to "Dust in the Wind" played on a cheap
Casio.

What? You haven't heard a Sailer or Oliver 78?
Der Fuhrer sounds especially impressive on them. ;-)
