Yesterday, I asked a couple of industrial cleanup outfits for bids on
cleaning up RAO. I knew it was going to be a big job, what with the Krooborg
flinging his customary, huge bucketloads of snot everywhere. I expected the
cost would be higher this time because of the intense ****storm Arnii's been
raging for the past week. Today, I got the quotes, and they are SHOCKING.
I have to tell everybody that the Resistance does not have sufficient funds
in the bank to cover this enormous job. One of the bids refers to "caked up
layers of turds cemented with a sticky organic substance". Both bids give
detailed descriptions of their recommended procedures, including high-
pressure steam washing, industrial solvents, and possibly manual laborers in
hazmat suits using chisels and sledgehammers.
This is a major cleanup job. The question for the RAO community is whether
we all chip in to cover this expense, or simply close up shop and hope the
Krooborg can't escape.
